InVideo AI Tutorial: Turn One Question into an Explainer

An explainer becomes easier to edit when it answers one question. This InVideo AI tutorial uses a fictional desk-organizing service to show how a narrow outline can produce a clearer video than a broad list of features.

Independent editorial guide ·

An original planning exercise for InVideo AI. Adapt the brief to the inputs available in your chosen tool; examples describe creative intent, not tested product results.

01

Write the question in the audience’s language

Use a question such as: where should the items I use every day go? Avoid starting with an internal product slogan. The question determines which details deserve screen time and which can be removed without weakening the explanation.

02

Match each sentence to visible evidence

Show an untidy desk, move the daily essentials into a tray, then show the resulting workspace. Each sentence should describe something that the viewer can see or understand from the scene. If the narration claims a benefit the picture cannot support, rewrite the sentence or supply a more relevant visual.

03

Read the outline at a natural pace

Record a rough voice reading before polishing the visuals. Mark pauses where the viewer needs time to compare before and after. Trim repeated claims instead of increasing speaking speed. End with a single next step, such as trying the three-item sorting exercise on the viewer’s own desk.

PUT IT INTO WORDS

A InVideo AI example brief

Create an explainer outline for people with cluttered desks. Answer one question: where should daily essentials go? Use three beats: identify the three most-used items, place them together in one tray, then show the clear working area. Keep narration concrete and conversational. End with an invitation to try the sorting exercise.

Use this as a starting point, then record the specific change you want to test.

BEFORE THE NEXT VERSION

Review the result against the brief

  • Every spoken claim should have a matching scene or a clear explanation.
  • Remove features that do not help answer the central question.
  • Check whether the final action follows naturally from the demonstration.

Practical question

Should I ask for the finished video in the first prompt?

You can, but reviewing a short outline first makes structural problems cheaper to fix. Approve the message and scene order before investing time in fine visual revisions.
